Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of SDSentry. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Read them carefully — in particular, the disclaimers about Safety Data Sheet accuracy and the limits on our liability.

1. Who we are
SDSentry is operated by 0xpi LLC, a Washington limited liability company, doing business as "SDSentry" (referred to in these Terms as "SDSentry," "we," "us," or "our"). References to "you" or "your" mean the individual or entity that has accepted these Terms and accesses or uses the service.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By signing up for an account, accessing the service, or clicking any "I agree" button, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by the documents incorporated here by reference (the Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Cancellation & Refunds Policy, and Cookie Policy). If you are using the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to both you personally and that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
3. The service
SDSentry is a web-based application that helps facility operators retrieve Safety Data Sheets ("SDS"), maintain a per-location chemical inventory, generate compliance posters, and produce audit logs. The service is delivered as software-as-a-service over the public internet.
We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to notify paid subscribers of material changes.
4. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must reside in, and use the service from, the United States. The service is not intended for users outside the United States and we make no representation that it complies with non-US laws (including the GDPR or UK GDPR).
- You must have legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- You must not be barred from receiving the service under applicable US law.
5. Accounts & security
To use the service you must create an account by providing an email address, a password, and your facility name. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your password and session cookies confidential.
- All activity that occurs under your account or under any user account you have invited into your tenant.
- Notifying us promptly at customer.service@0xpi.com of any unauthorized access.
We use industry-standard password hashing (bcrypt) and HTTPS for all sessions. See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. SDS data disclaimer (important)
Safety Data Sheets returned by SDSentry are retrieved from third-party sources (including manufacturer websites, the U.S. EPA's Pesticide Product Information System, PubChem, and curated archives) and, in some cases, from AI-assisted retrieval. We do not author SDS documents. We do not guarantee that any SDS returned by the service is the most current version, that it corresponds exactly to the product variant in your hand, or that it is free of errors.
You are solely responsible for:
- Verifying that each SDS returned matches the specific product in your inventory (including manufacturer, formulation, and revision date).
- Complying with OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200), state right-to-know laws, EPCRA Tier II reporting, DOT placarding rules, and any other applicable regulation.
- Training your employees in the safe handling of the products you use.
- Maintaining backup copies of SDSs you rely on for compliance.
The compliance posters, hazard summaries, and incompatibility cross-checks SDSentry generates are informational tools, not legal advice or a substitute for a qualified safety professional. The incompatibility check in particular relies on a curated list of well-known dangerous combinations and is not exhaustive — always consult Section 7 (Storage) and Section 10 (Reactivity) of each SDS.
7. Acceptable use
Your use of the service is governed by our Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated here by reference. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
8. Billing & subscriptions
SDSentry is offered on a monthly subscription. The base rate is $24.99 per active location per calendar month (subject to change with notice as set out in Section 17). Billing is handled by PayPal Subscriptions. By providing payment information you authorize us, through PayPal, to charge the subscription fee on each billing date.
Specifics — including charges, currency, billing cycle, and how to cancel — are described in our Cancellation & Refunds Policy. To the extent that document conflicts with this section, the Refunds Policy controls for billing matters.
9. Free trial
New tenants receive a 14-day free trial. No payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account moves to a read-only "trial expired" state and your data is retained for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.
Each individual or organization is entitled to one trial. Repeated trial sign-ups using alternate email addresses or facility names violate these Terms.
10. Cancellation & termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing tab in your tenant Admin panel. Cancellation stops future billing; you retain access through the end of the current paid billing period. See the Refunds Policy for what happens to your data after cancellation.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law; if your payment method fails repeatedly; or if continued service exposes us or other users to liability or harm.
11. Intellectual property
The SDSentry name, logo, software, design, documentation, and underlying technology are owned by 0xpi LLC. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service during the term of your subscription, solely for your internal business operations.
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, sublicense, or resell any part of the service.
12. Your content
"Your Content" means the inventory entries, location data, user-uploaded files (if any), notes, and other information you submit to the service. You retain ownership of Your Content.
You grant SDSentry a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, store, transmit, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide the service to you. We will not sell Your Content. We will not use Your Content to train AI models. We may use aggregated, anonymized usage data to improve the service.
You represent that Your Content does not infringe any third party's rights and complies with applicable law. You are responsible for backing up Your Content. The CSV export and audit-log export features are provided to make this practical.
13. Third-party services
To deliver the service we rely on third parties. By using SDSentry you also accept the terms of these providers as applicable:
- PayPal — for subscription billing.
- Anthropic — for AI-assisted SDS extraction (your queries and the relevant document text may be sent to Anthropic's API).
- U.S. EPA Pesticide Product Information System (PPLS), PubChem, and other public chemical databases.
- Let's Encrypt — for HTTPS certificates.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.
14. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, and any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant that any SDS retrieved by the service is current or correct, that the service will meet your regulatory obligations, or that inventory data will be retained indefinitely.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will SDSentry, its operator, or its suppliers be liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, regulatory fines, personal injury, property damage, or damages arising from incorrect or stale Safety Data Sheet information — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
These limitations apply regardless of the theory of liability (contract, tort, statute, or otherwise) and survive termination of these Terms.
16. Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SDSentry, its operator, employees, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms or applicable law; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of any third party's rights; or (d) regulatory non-compliance attributable to your actions or omissions, including but not limited to OSHA HazCom violations.
17. Changes to the service or Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes (including price increases or changes to liability provisions), we will provide at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
18. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
Each party waives any right to a jury trial. Claims must be brought within one (1) year of the event giving rise to the claim, or be permanently barred. Class actions and class arbitrations are waived to the maximum extent permitted by law.
19. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms (together with the incorporated policies) are the entire agreement between you and SDSentry about the service.
- Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a sale of the business.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These Terms do not create rights in any third party.
- Notices. We may give notice by email to the address on your account. You may give notice to us at customer.service@0xpi.com.
