Acceptable Use Policy
This Policy is part of our Terms of Service. It defines how you may — and may not — use SDSentry. We keep this list short and specific. If something here is unclear, ask before you do it.
1. The basics
You may use SDSentry to retrieve, organize, and share Safety Data Sheets and related chemical-inventory data within your facility, for legitimate compliance and operational purposes.
2. What you may not do
Misuse the service
- Scrape, crawl, or programmatically pull SDS data en masse to build a competing database.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without our written permission.
- Use the service to provide professional safety or compliance consulting to third parties as a separate paid service.
- Use automated tools or scripts that exceed normal interactive use (60 API requests per minute is our published rate limit; sustained traffic above that may be throttled or blocked).
Compromise security
- Attempt to access another tenant's account, data, or audit log.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without prior written authorization. (Reporting a vulnerability you find while using the service normally is welcome — email customer.service@0xpi.com.)
- Defeat or attempt to defeat rate limiting, authentication, session security, or signature verification.
- Upload malicious code (viruses, worms, etc.) or files designed to overload the service.
Harm others
- Use the service to harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person or organization.
- Upload content that is illegal, infringes someone's intellectual property, violates a confidentiality obligation you owe them, or contains personal data of individuals who have not consented to be included in your inventory.
- Use the service for any purpose prohibited by U.S. law (including export-control or sanctions laws).
Misrepresent the service
- Claim that SDSentry, on its own, makes a facility OSHA-compliant. We provide a tool; compliance remains your responsibility.
- Pass off SDSentry-generated posters or summaries as having been authored or certified by SDSentry's operator, OSHA, the EPA, or the manufacturer of any product.
- Use the SDSentry name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership without our written consent.
3. Trial abuse
Each individual or organization is entitled to one 14-day free trial. Creating multiple trial accounts to extend free use, or using fictitious facility / company names to obtain repeated trials, is a violation of this Policy.
4. Enforcement
If we believe you have violated this Policy we may, depending on severity:
- Send you a written warning by email.
- Rate-limit or temporarily suspend your access.
- Terminate your account immediately, with no refund of any unused subscription period.
- Report unlawful activity to law enforcement.
Where the violation is curable (e.g., a misconfigured script causing accidental high traffic), we will normally give you a chance to fix it before taking permanent action. Where the violation is intentional, security-related, or causes harm to other users, we may act without notice.
5. Reporting violations
Spot abuse of the service, a security issue, or content you believe violates this Policy? Email customer.service@0xpi.com. We treat these reports seriously and confidentially.
